Sidmouth Under-13s powered past Bradninch into the next round of the County Sports Cup with a 103-run victory at Bicton College.

It was opening pair Harvey Sargeant and Will Counsell who laid the platform for a match-winning total of 157-5. Counsell hit four 6s and two 4s before retiring unbeaten on 43 whilst Sargeant thumped six fours in his unbeaten 40. Johnny Dunn chipped in with 20.

Jamie Newbery then claimed a wicket in his first over and finished with 3-8 from four whilst fellow opening bowler Johnnie Surtees bagged a wicket with his first delivery and finished with 1-19 from his four. Jack Emmett took 3-5 and Bradninch were all out off the final ball of the 19th over for 54.
