Club president, Trevor Kerridge, hosted his President’s Day last Saturday and gave all members of the club the opportunity to play with an individual stableford played off the tees of their choosing, writes John Johnson.

The men’s white tee winner was Dave Hoare with a very impressive 40 points ahead Michael Flattley who scored 38 points.

The veteran, Neil Faulkner, finished third with 38 points and must be rueing his closing three holes which included a double bogey and two bogeys.

The men’s yellow tee winner was Jeremy Fox with a remarkable 46 points which included three holes on which he failed to score any points at all!

Former dairy farmer, Robert Welsman, finished second with 39 points beating prison officer, Mr Mackay, on a countback.

Ladies’ captain, Liz Chance, continued her rich vein of form to win the ladies’ prize with 40 points ahead of Sheila Thomson’s 38 points and Gill Paddon’s 37 points.
