Sidmouth Raiders 3, Crediton Saints 2 Sidmouth Raiders Under-14s edged a close encounter played in great spirit by two well matched teams.

Raiders had the best of the first half with their first sight of goal being when a Matt Skelding free-kick was tipped over the crossbar. The pressure told and Oliver Turton played Scott Hughes in and he finished in style. The same pair were involved in the second goal, this time Hughes with the assist and Turton with the goal.

Hughes made it 3-0 with a header from a corner, but Crediton reduced the arrears with a goal just before the break.

Raiders continued the pressure in the second half and created further chances, but the visitors struck next when an unfortunate home defender stood on the ball as he went to clear it and the opportunity to finish was snapped up by the Crediton player!

Crediton then put a great deal into bagging a third, but the home defence proved more than equal to the task as Raiders deservedly sealed victory.
