Sidmouth Under-13 girls took part in a ‘pitch-up-and-play’ meeting.
Three other clubs, Crediton , Exeter Saracens and Kingsbridge also took part and put teams into the event.
There were over 50 girls involved and they all took part in a training session that put the emphasis on evasion, defensive work and tackling.
Once the training session was completed the players mixed up to form four teams with each team playing three games.
Stuart Cavin and his son Sam were the people responsible for setting up and running the event and all who took part agreed it had been a terrific meeting.
