Sidmouth Rose Basket success for Penny Lyne

On Wednesday the Sidmouth Ladies played another round in the Chambers Rose Bowl and Basket competition, writes Maria Clapp.
Conditions were wet and very windy, but 20 ladies’ braved the elements.
First place in the Rose Basket competition was won by Penny Lyne with Margaret Thompson taking the runners-up spot.
The Rose Bowl Competition was won by Sheila Tallon with Sheila Faulkner as the runner-up.
A club stableford was also played and this was won by Sheila Tallon.

In second place was Sheila Faulkner, edging out Marie Timms on countback.
There were a brace of twos achieved by Linda Reynolds and Sheila Faulkner.
