This week the ladies were lucky enough to be blessed once again with wall to wall sunshine for the second round of their ongoing winter competition for the Rose Bowl and Rose Basket, writes Andrea Milton.
Thirteen pairs took to the course for a stableford club competition run concurrently with the Rose Bowl and Basket competition.
Winning, with a score of 32 points, was Angela Coles. Her round included a fantastic birdie two on the eleventh hole.
In second place was ladies captain, Maria Clapp with 29 points, just nudging Susan Hackett, also on 29, into third place on countback.
The 11th hole was also a good hole for Maria, as she pared it, while Susan made pars on the fourth and sixth holes. Angela’s two was the only one carded so she truly cleaned up winning both the first prize and the twos pot! Well played!
