Last Wednesday, Sidmouth ladies played the penultimate round of the Rose Bowl and Basket competition, writes Maria Clapp.
This involves six rounds in total, where the players choose their top four results.
First place in the Rose Bowl in week five of the competition, went to Angela Coles with 33 points. In second place was Sheila Faulkner with 32 points.
The Rose Basket this week was won by Mo Kendall on countback from Ros Eaton, both with 26 points. A club competition is also run in conjunction with the Bowl and Basket and this was won by Angela Coles with Sheila Faulkner taking second and Liz Chance, third.
There was just the one two recorded, scored by lady captain Sheila Faulkner and therefore she claimed the pot of twos money. Not a huge pot this week! Conditions were quite difficult for this competition, due to the recent wet weather. Let’s hope the weather improves as soon as possible!
