Sidmouth seamer Scott Barlow claimed four wickets in four balls as Sidmouth beat Exmouth at the Fortfield on Saturday, writes Stephen Birley.
It’s not the first time Barlow has done such a thing, indeed he once claimed five wickets in five balls.
That was back in the 2003 season when he was playing for Sidmouth Under-15s and incredibly that too was against Exmouth !
On that occasion the Barlow fivefer in as many deliveries was achieved at the Maer ground in Exmouth.
Continuing the incredible co-incidences is the fact that the scorer for thast Under-15 game in 2003 was Jill Cooke whilst the scorer on Saturday who recorded the Barlow four in four was Peter Cooke, husband of Jill!
