Sidmouth ladies were sharing the celebrations with their members, captain Jill Bishop and her partner, Brenda Somerfield, this week, writes Susie Bonnell.

Jill and Brenda played their third round in this County Competition on Sunday against Julie Grant and Carol Smith from Honiton.

Despite the indifferent, slightly cold and wet weather, the Sidmouth ladies achieved a very respectful score of 27-10.

This win now takes them to the Section Final in which they will meet Sue Harriott and Chris Macaulay of Madeira on a date to be agreed.

Sidmouth will no doubt be sending their supporters to Madeira Bowls Club on the appointed day to encourage and support Jill and Brenda on their bid to win the Section Final.
