Sidmouth member and past seniors captain, Barry Jones landed himself another trophy last week, writes Hugh Dorliac.

Barry, who is 80 years young, was presented with the Devon Vet Captains Autumn Golf Trophy from outgoing captain Mike Pagliero.

Barry showed that age is no barrier as he beat a strong field on what can be described as a very blustery day at Teignmouth Golf Club on Thursday.

Sixty past veterans captains met for their autumn competition followed by a excellent lunch and AGM.
