Round two of the Jurassic Winter League was played on Thursday, writes Hugh Dorliac.

The competition involves Lyme Regis, Axe Cliff and Sidmouth senior golfers who all had to battle a cold and misty day.

The conditions as much as anything were the cause for some modest scoring. Home advantage saw Sidmouth win the day with 225 points from their eight competitors, but only five points ahead of Lyme Regis.

Axe Cliff struggled a bit and finished with 192 points on the day. This leaves the final leg to be played next week at Axe Cliff with Lyme leading on 480 points, Sidmouth second on 454, with some real work to do.

Axe Cliff trail on 422, but have home advantage to come.
