Sidmouth ladies travelled to Isca in Exeter for their latest friendly, writes Zena Johnson

Three teams enjoyed a closely fought game that saw Sidmouth win on two of the three rinks contested.

The highest scoring rink was the one skipped by Jill Bishop, supported by Paddy Chew, Pat Harvie, and Ann Capon.

In terms of the overall result, that was as friendly as the match with honours ending even at 56-56!

Well done Jill and team and thank you ISCA for a very enjoyable afternoon of ladies bowls.

There was a very different outcome when the ladies came up against Madeira of Exmouth!

Unfortunately, Sidmouth lost on all three rinks by a substantial margin, but as usual the Madeira ladies hospitality and friendly atmosphere made up for the loss and we all enjoyed the afternoon’s bowling. However, we will be hosting a return match in March - hopefully to reverse the score!
