All eight teams playing in the Sidmouth Leisure Centre indoor cricket league have now played four games.
With the league almost one third of the way through – each team plays 14 in the regular season – Sidmouth lead the way and they are the only side to have won all four of their matches.
The Fortfield men were not in action in the latest round of matches, but Clyst St George were and they climbed into second place with success against Newton Poppleford. In a low scoring game, the Popples were bundled out for 80, passed with some comfort by Clyst St George.
Tipton St John claimed their second win of the season with victory over a Yarcombe and Stockland side that has now lost all four of their matches.
The third game played saw Ottery St Mary get their first win at the fourth attempt, beating Clyst Hydon B in a low scoring affair.
