Sidmouth Ladies enjoyed another sunny spring day for the qualifying round of the Express and Echo Shield, writes Angela Coles.
The course looked splendid thanks to the hard work of the green staff.
The winners, with a score of 32 points, were Anne Blackler and Andrea Milton and they will now go forward to represent the club in the final at Royal North Devon in September.
The runners-up, with 28 points, were Penny Lyne and Margaret Thompson.
On Friday the president’s team played a match away at East Devon and, despite some close results, were beaten seven - nil!
