Sidmouth RFC had no fewer than six players in the Devon Under-16 team that took on Cornwall last Sunday.
There were two matches played by the squad with the Devon B side recording a mammoth 62-0 triumph over Cornwall B after which the Devon A side defeated the Duchy team 31-11.
It’s quite an achievement for Sidmouth to supply so many boys for the county in one age group.
Three of the Sidmouth lads have also now been selected by Exeter chiefs for their elite player development group.
The six Sidmouth players who were on Devon duty last Sunday were; Charlie Wright, Liam Hillier, Sam Cavin, David Chan, Tom Counsell and Aaron Bagwell.
