Sidmouth Tennis Club is having a celebration! To mark the completion of the re-surfacing and painting of their courts the Club is holding an Open Day this Saturday (May 17), writes Lesley Cranston.
The eveny runs from 11.30am through until 4pm.
The first part of the day is given over to Juniors with mini tennis, (little racquets, softer balls, short court) for 10 and under from 11.30 -12.30. Age 11 and over from 12.30 -1.30, adults and families from then on.
There will be lots of fun activities such as cardio tennis both off court and on under the guidance of head coach, Ben Elliott, suitable for all age groups and abilities.
As part of the LTA’s initiative, The Great British Tennis Weekend, this is an opportunity to try tennis on our beautifully re-furbished courts in their magnificent setting at Fortfield Terrace.
