Eight teams have fought their way through to the quarter-finals of Devon’s Emerton-Court knock-out competition for senior golfers, writes Peter Stuckey.
Saunton prevailed over close rivals Royal North Devon to play Thurlestone in the 10-men team event played as fourballs on a home and away basis.
The other three matches see Stover against Sidmouth, Churston versus Downes Crediton and Great Torrington meeting Torquay.
The event for golfers aged over 60 is run by the Devon Men Veteran Golfers’ Association. The matches have to be played by August 4.
