Sidmouth Toucans continue to show genuine improvement

Toucans continue to show game-on-game improvement as 26 goals in this energetic encounter suggests, writes Alexa Baker.

With Helen Terry and Caroline Biggs under the post sharing goal-shooting and goal-attack berths, the goals were going in thick and fast!

For the second game running the Biggs contribution, which included here continuing to show her on-court versatility, was sufficient to win her the plaudits of her team mates with the Player of the Match award.

This seasons newcomers, Lesley Hall and Lucy Davies shared wing defence duties and combined well with seasoned Toucan players Rachel Darlami, Louise Neilson and Alexa Baker.

Skipper Sarah Sparks said post match: “There’s no doubt that we are beginning to establish a healthy bond and we played well individually and collectively this game. We got out of the match what we deserved – our first points of the season!”
