Sidmouth Toucans suffered their second successive defeat in the Honiton and District Summer Netball league, beaten 63-50 by Uplowman.
Toucans were not behind in the contest until the third quarter and much of the reason for their early dominance of the court was down to the performance of goal attach Helen Terry. However, in the final quarter the Mid Devon side got on top to inflict another rare defeat on Toucans.
The League lost a team this week with the withdrawal of Water Babes who have had their fixtures removed from the table and this has affected the teams that have played them or had points allocated because the Babes did not play.
Toucans are one of five teams to be hit by this and that has seen the team drop to sixth in the table.
Flamingos are the current leaders by a single point with four other sides hot on their heels all on the same number of points, 15.
OPG jumped from fifth to second thanks to their 68-43 win over Hawks. Tracey Moran pulled the strings at centre despite the good work of Zoe Dunn for Hawks.
Signs South Wes are one of the teams on 15 points; they beat JD Tures 65-42 with the dynamic Rowan Williams at goal attack the star of the show whilst Amy Philips again caught the eye for JD.
Despite beating Otter Valley Dairy 59-40, Hi Q dropped back to fourth on goal difference. Emma Truscott was in fine form for Hi Q with Rachel Tucker the stand-out performer for the Dairy girls.
Tip Top Trees gained their second win of the term to move up to ninth as they defeated Pixies 52-38. Abi Webber had a fine game for the Trees whilst Heather Beviss stole the show for Pixies.
