Sidmouth Town struck the result of the day, and arguably their entire South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division season when they drew 0-0 at Stoke Gabriel.

What makes the result even more impressive is that basement dwellers Town were away at the South Devon side that are seen by many as the only realistic challengers to the Exmouth Town title bid.

On Good Friday (March 29), Town travel to Axminster Town for an East Devon derby (11am).

Make sure of your copy of the next edition of the Sidmouth Herald (out on Friday, March 29) to read a full match report on the Town draw with Appledore.
