Sidmouth Town entertain Brixham at Manstone Lane on Saturday (March 11) and Vikings boss Josh Stunell is expecting a hard game for his side, but he also feels that the pressure will be on the away side rather than his own charges.

Stunell says: “They [Brixham] could end the day on top of the table if they see us off and other results go their way.

“That means, for my money, that the pressure is all on them. For our part we are steaming towards a mid-table finish, but I do not want the season to peter out. We must keep an eye on next season and make sure that we retain the high standards that we have managed to reach in most of our matches since mid-December.”

The Vikings boss continued: “We let ourselves down at Galmpton where we so needed to be the side that scored first, had we done that then I have no doubt that we would then have gone on and scored four or five.

“Brixham are a good side, packed with pace and power, but we are a good side and if we play as I know we can then I see no reason why we cannot get the right result for us on Saturday.”
