Sidmouth Town boss Josh Stunell to leave the club.

Sidmouth Town are seeking a new manager to take the South West Peninsula League Eastern Division side into the 2018/19 campaign.

The Manstone Lane club have issued a statement through chairman Andy Argyle that reads: “I have received notification from Josh Stunell that he wishes to step down at the end of the current season (2017/18). Josh submitted the following statement to me this week setting out the reasoning behind his departure. ‘’Having spent four seasons managing Sidmouth Town Football Club’s first team I wish it to be known that it is my intention top step down at the end of the current campaign. Both John [Town assistant manager John Clements] and I have worked tirelessly for the club and quite frankly we need a break.

“At the moment we do not have any plans to go elsewhere and are looking forward to a summer not thinking about football, we would both like to wish the club all the very best for the future and will of course lookout for the Vikings results.”

Sidmouth Town Football Club would like to thank Josh and his assistant John Clements for their efforts over the last four seasons and wish them all the very best for the future.
