Sidmouth Town have played once in a run of eight South West Peninsula League, Eastern Division match days.

Of the 16 clubs in the division the most outings any side has managed in the last eight weeks of weather ravaged match days is the four games that have been played by South Devon sides Galmpton United and Totnes and Dartington.

Two teams, Crediton United and Newton Abbot Spurs have managed to play three times whilst Exwick Villa, Liverton, Okehampton Argyle, Plymstock United, Stoke Gabriel, Teignmouth and University of Exeter have all played just two.

Alphington, Appledore and Budleigh Salterton have, like the Vikings, seen action just once in that period and one side, Axminster Town, are without a league game now since a December 14 visit to Totnes and Dartington.

Matches are now being scheduled for Saturday, May 10. There are eleven more Saturdays between now and the end of April and the Vikings have a dozen fixtures remaining so there is not yet great pressure on the fixture planning – yet!
