Sidmouth Town will be hoping that the weather eases to allow them to play what would be only their second game of 2014 when Teignmouth Town are the visitors to Manstone Lane tomorrow (Saturday).

When Town travelled to South Devon for the first meeting with the seasiders this season the game ended 1-1 with the Town point coming thanks to a second half goal from George Moore.

Paddy Thomas’s side have played just once in the past six weeks, that the January 11, 1-0 win at Plymstock United.

The Vikings go into the meeting with the joint leaders on a decent run that has seen them lose just one of their last six league outings.

Teignmouth played last weekend when they defeated Premier side St Blazey in a Throgmorton Cup tie that went the distance before being settled in a penalty shoot-out.

The Vikings play three of their next four games at home for they follow the Teignmouth game with a visit seven days later form the other joint table-toppers, Galmpton. After that they travel to University and then host Totnes and Dartington at Manstone Lane on March 1.

The Eastern Division has not seen much football, over the last six weeks when just 13 matches have been played with only one match day – January 11- seeing an entire programmed played with no weather intervention!
