Sidmouth Town Reserves suffered an embarrassing defeat on a hugely disappointing day at Silver Street, Willand, where they lost a Macron League Division One meeting 4-2.
One of the teams three-man management team, Paddy Thomas, said: “The performance lacked fight, character, quality and spirit. Collectively that was a major reason for the defeat
“No excuses, the best side won on the day, and several players need to assess what they want to do on a Saturday afternoon.”
Goals from Fern Bodor and Joe Miller saved the side from further embarrassment.
This Saturday (December 3) the Reserves entertain the division’s table-toppers, unbeaten Cronies FC.A performance like the one at Silver Street will see the Vikings put to the sword!
