Sidmouth Town’s South West Peninsula League (SWPL) Eastern Division meeting with Appledore was, like all but one of the day’s Eastern Division fixtures, on the first Saturday of February, called off with Manstone Lane once again unfit for action.

The Vikings have played only once since their Boxing Day 3-1 defeat at Budleigh Salterton – that being the 2-1 home defeat to St Martins on January 13.

With no game on the second Saturday of February, it all means that Town are not inaction now until their March 17 Manstone Lane meting with Crediton United. Town are then – as things currently stand – without a game on either e February 24 or March 3 – which would mean that when they play at Teignmouth on March 10, the Vikings would be taking to the pitch for an SWPL Eastern Division game for just the third time in the first 10 weeks of the year!
