Galmpton United 3, Sidmouth Town 0 Town travelled to South Devon without five regulars and that made a tough fixture all the harder!
A youthful Town side did well throughout and it took 20 minutes for the home team to finally break them down with much of this down to some gritty defending and fine goal keeping from Scott Newbury.
Two goals in five minutes put Town on the back foot, but they recovered superbly and took the game to the hosts who netted their third midway through the second half.
Town boss Paddy Thomas said: “Once again we have been our own worst enemies in as much as we have not started to play until we are two down and that is disappointing to say the least!”
Town were then beaten 2-0 at Crediton United on Tuesday night, that a first win in five outings for the Mid Devon side.
