Sidmouth Turkey Trot triumph for father and son combination

The Turkey Trot, a traditional Christmas competition played in early December was contested last week, writes Chris Roberts.

There were vouchers for Drews of Sidbury as prizes, and this year first place went to the father and son partnership of Vernon and Stuart Ruffle with 46 stableford points.

Donald Copper and Lee Wenham finished second, two points behind, with Chris Lewis and Craig Melluish in third place with 43 points.

The ladies prize went to Penny Lyne and Sheila Faulkner with 37 points, two clear of Ros Eaton and Jacqui Jones.
