Sidmouth 60, Tiverton 5

A gloriously sunny Sidmouth U13s welcomed a depleted Tiverton to Sidford, writes Chris Woodruff.

Bolstered by four Sidmouth players, Tiverton soon found themselves on the back foot with a succession of tries from Stamp, Lowe and Waldron with Tidball converting the majority.

The loaned players Reed, Hunt, Madeley and Cockayne made a match in the scrum and a brief window of hope for Tiverton from a well-worked scum was intercepted by Perez covering ably at the back.

The momentum reverted to Sidmouth with tries from Lowe quickly followed by Cockayne and Waldron as Sidmouth pressed their advantage.

Loaned players were rotated second half and with Norton, Craven and particularly Stokes and Woodruff vocally coordinating the away team and providing visibly more resistance.

Woodruff scored for Tiverton and restored some pride to the visitors who lifted their play momentarily before Perez, Reed and Lowe closed the game out for resounding home win.

Sidmouth kept their concentration and momentum and to their credit did not allow errors to creep into their performance; an important quality in team play whoever the opposition is.
