Sidmouth took three Under-10 teams to Withycombe for their latest action.
Warm-up games against Sidmouth team mates led to a successful morning’s rugby against local rivals Withycombe for the next Sidmouth team.
Some good interplay and awareness of support runners resulted in some well-worked tries.
Charley Turley used his trademark quick feet, Alex Goody and Thomas Russell both oozed pace, Jack Pugh made some excellent ball rips in contact and Tom Bird put gave a master class into the technicalities of rucking. Some sound defence put pressure on the opposition, limiting the number of tries conceded with Herbie Isherwood, Bill Fowler, Roman Moore, Sam Hartland and Joe Trickey working well for their team mates.
A fine game played in great spirit by both sides with Sidmouth proving too much for their opposition to finish 6-1 winners.
