Sidmouth Under-10s impressed in two meeting with Exmouth.
In the first match Sidmouth made the perfect start, scoring almost straight from the kick-off with Ben Fisher passing to Ryan Couzens and he broke through the Exmouth defence to score. The defence then came to the fore with lots of turnover ball and some terrific passing, particularly from Freddie Roberts. The opening game ended in a 7-0 Sidmouth success with Ben Fisher, Will Bolton and Gabe Roberts all adding their name to the try scoring list.
The second match proved to be a much closer affair, but Sidmouth still emerged triumphant, this time with a 5-3 score in their favour.
Good runs by Ollie Mitchell, Louis and James set the team up well for James and Thomas to score. Exmouth matched this with scored of their own.
Sam Cole competed well with some excellent rucking and distributed the ball exceptionally, playing a big part in another Ryan Couzens try. Charlie and Will Crick defended well and made some ferocious tackles and darting runs that ended in Will scoring,

Sam Cole was richly deserving of the Sid Valley Garage’s Man of the Match award, given to him for his all-round performance that included solid rucking and excellent distribution of the ball.
