Exeter Chiefs 17, Sidmouth 69 Sidmouth Under-16 powered their way to a comprehensive success in Exeter.
Exeter Chiefs may well have scored the final points, but this game was over as a contest long before the end!
The foundation for the victory was built on a committed team performance, great control at the set piece and hard work from the forwards who produced quick ball for a confident set of backs on a good surface.
Cotton recovered the kick-off and, after three rucks, good handling and a cross-field kick, Thomas scored in the opposite corner. Chiefs struck back with their first attack but Sidmouth maintained the pressure and with ten further tries shared around Wells-Burr, Faulkner, Parnell and Thomas, they sealed a big bonus point win to confirm their place in the league play-offs on Sunday, March 25.
This Saturday Sidmouth entertain Bournemouth who are the unbeaten Dorset Champions – the game kicks-off at 11am at the Blackmore.
