The Upper Crust Monday Stableford was won this week by Howard Cushing with 41 points, writes, John Barnard.

He played a steady front nine but on the back nine, off his handicap of 18 he managed to shoot five pars and birdied the 14th, meaning a back nine gross of 35 and lots of points.

He only won by the one point as Moray Bosence had a good round as well, but bogied the last having managed four birdies to put him in contention.

Steve Channing was third with 39 points.

Going well to the turn, only two points on holes 10, 11 and 12, ruined his chances of a win.
