The Final Upper Crust Monday Stableford was won by Jonathan Lee with a convincing 40 points, writes John Barnard.

Jonathan is moving into some great form at exactly the wrong time of the year. He hasn’t played that much this year due to other commitments, but class is permanent as Jonathan has shown over many years. Three birdies on holes six, 10 and 17, with just one double bogie led him to victory by two points from Steve Crabb, maybe moving into category one for the winter(could be expensive).

Remarkably, Steve birdie three holes, exactly the same ones as Jonathan, but a few more bogies meant second place. Mike Knight was third with 37 points, just beating his good friend Nick Gingell on countback

In the Upper Crust Monday Eclectic league table, Jeremy Holden won with a nett 42.2 with Kevin Legg second on 43.2 and Nick Gingell third on 44.9. Inevitably, Nel Holland won the birdie count with 82, Stuart Coles was second with 62 and John Jones managed 60. All over for another year until the clocks change in March.
