Sidmouth Warriors Under-8s were 4-3 winners when they travelled to Hemyock.
Warriors made a superb start and raced into a 2-0 lead with goals from James Plowden and Dominic Bennatter. A third from Riley Pugsley and an outstanding display from defender Reece Hext, saw Warriors into half-time with a healthy advantage.
Early in the second half a sloppy goal was conceded, but the three-goal margin was swiftly restored when substitute Lucas O’Connor raced through and applied a clinical finish.
That was not the end of the scoring though for two individual defensive errors saw Hemyock net twice more to set up a nervous end to the game, but Warriors held on to record a deserved 4-3 success.
