Sidmouth Warriors Under-12s opened their season with a game against a Twyford Spartans side they had never previously beaten.
However, Warriors put that particular stat to bed with an excellent single goal, clean sheet success with Tom Mcandrews the goal scorer.
Warriors followed that up with a trip to Mid Devon where they suffered a narrow 2-1 defeat to Cullompton Rangers.
The home side scored first, but, playing some delightful football against physical opposition Warriors were soon level through Zac Jabri.
It was rather harsh on the youngsters when a debatable penalty was awarded late on to the home side to enable them to bag a 2-1 victory.
