Warriors 4-1 Inter Heavitree Warriors 4-0 CS Rangers Sidmouth Warriors Under-9s picked up maximum points from their two Easter Saturday fixtures and had much to celebrate in the process.

Debutant goal keeper George Wheeler was impressive throughout with a combination of assured handling and effective distribution.

Brothers Bradley and Toby Hill teamed up in defence for the first time and competed superbly for the ball all morning.

In fact, every player can be proud of their contribution, all of which was hugely satisfying for the watching coaches!

A key aspect of the impressive mornings play was the way that the Warriors went in search of winning the ball back once possession had been lost. This is something they have been working hard on in their coaching sessions.

First up, against Inter, after a goal less first half, the Exeter-based side took the lead shortly after the re-start.

The Warriors response was very good, and composed.

They kept passing the ball and were rewarded for their endeavour and persistence when a delightful cross from Jamie Salter was sweetly headed home by Joe Ashby. Ben Chapman added two more before a second for young Ashby completed the scoring.

The Warriors dominated the second fixture creating chance after chance. Stanley Richardson tucked away two lovely goals, one a wonderful long-range strike.

Samuel Rice deservedly got his name on the score sheet and Joe Ashby netted another brace.
