Moors Hawks 2-2 Warriors Twyford Spartans 1-1 Warriors Sidmouth Warriors Under-9s had to settle for a brace of draws when they travelled to Tiverton, writes Chris Roberts.

First up against Moors Hawks the first half was goal less. After the break the two defences held sway until, with the clock ticking down, a quick throw by Charlie Roberts found Ben Fisher who saw his goal-bound shot superbly cleared with an overhead kick by the centre half. The ball switched to the other end and Spartans scored what looked to be a late winner. However, from the re-start Fisher ran through the Hawks defence to score a superb individual goal to ensure honours ended even.

The second game saw Warriors fall behind before going in at half-time al square thanks to an Oliver Loosemore goal. After the break the Warriors again fell, behind, but they showed tremendous character and deservedly levelled when Loosemore bagged his second of the match. Warriors then struck an upright with the last kick of the game!

On the morning Warriors played two fine matches and will have learnt that the game is never a lost cause!
