Broadclyst 0, Sidmouth Warriors 3 Sidmouth Warriors Under-9s were good value for a clean sheet success at Broadclyst, writes Chris Roberts.

The first half saw Warriors battle against a strong wind, and they were up-hill! However, thanks to an awesome display from midfield dynamo Freddie Eul-Barker they bossed possession. However, breaking the deadlock proved the problem until Charlie Roberts crossed from the left and Eul-Barker applied the finish, much to the relief of a large, and very cold, crowd!

The goal settled Warriors down and they found a slick rhythm and it was not long before the lead was doubled and again the source of the goal was some fine wing play as Ewan Badcock crossed for Roberts to tuck the ball away.

After the break, down the slope and with the wind now in their favour Warriors controlled proceedings, but a brave rear guard effort by Broadclyst thwarted them until the third and final goal. This one was a neat finish by Oliver Beech. The final whistle came to the relief of the now frozen crowd.
