Sidmouth Ladies Over-50s Blue and Yellow squads had disappointing games in their away matches last Wednesday, writes Susie Bonnell.
The Blues travelled to Topsham where they went down to what can only be described as a surprise defeat, losing on both rinks.
Meanwhile, the Yellows were in action at Budleigh where they did manage to win on one rink with Jenny Fricker skipping Mary Turner and Anita Mason to a 22-20 success.
However, Budleigh took the match honours 42-32 with the Yellows left to lament the fact they banked just two points fro the available six.
Both squads will be keen to make instant returns to winning ways.
