Sidmouth Ladies’ Over-50s Yellows hosted another league when they took on Seaton Reds, writes Susie Bonnell.
The weather certainly played its part with beautiful sunshine and a gentle breeze and the home advantage helped the Sidmouth ladies to a win on both rinks, securing them the full six points.
One rink, played by skip Wendy Limpus and her team, Karen Hollingdale and Anita Mason, dug deep and came back from a eight point deficit at the seventh end to win with a score of 20-15.
The other rink, played by Skip Susie Bonnell and her team, Mary Bristol and Janice Quinn did hold the lead throughout the game, with Seaton ladies making a valiant fight back on the last three ends, resulting in a score of 20-12. Well done, ladies.
