The two Sidmouth Over-50s League teams met in another ‘in-house’ derby, writes Carol Smith.

With both teams playing in Division One this season, when the first meeting took place back in May, the Blues and the Yellows each won on one rink and lost on the other. The aggregate score then was 33-29 in favour of the Blues, which resulted in four points for the Blues and two for the Yellows.

This latest meeting saw a complete reversal with the aggregate score being 41-17 in favour of the Yellows and so they banked four points to the two for the Blues. One amazing coincidence of the two meetings – they both ended with four shots between the teams.

The winning team for the Yellows comprised Karen Hollingdale, Brenda Somerfield and skip Susie Bonnell, winning 30-17, while the successful Blue team comprised Jane Painter, Zena Johnson and skip Ann Capon, who won 20-11.
