SOHC celebrate 14 juniors being invited to the Devon Junior Assessment Centre (JAC).

Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club are delighted to have had no fewer than 14 juniors successful in being invited to the Devon Junior Assessment Centre (JAC).

The Under-14 section provides five of the players, Frankie Elliott, Millie Moore, Ellie Marok, Jack Ellison and Callum Lefebvre.

In the Under-15 section it’s Jess Oliver, Becky Rushworth, Natalie Wright, Charlie King and Billy Rudolph.

Last, but certainly not least, in the Under-17 age group it’s Helen Mylne, Georgia Wilson, James Plowman and Anthony Dibble.

The SOHC Junior Academy meets on Sundays from 10am to 12 noon on the artificial surface at the Colin Tooze Sports Centre, Ottery St Mary, and at Sidmouth Sports Centre from 10.30 – 11.30 for all age groups.

Boys and girls from School Year 4 through to Year 10 are most welcome. Qualified coaches supported by club volunteers and parents provide high quality training in age and ability groupings.

Junior Academy sessions generally do not take place over the Christmas/New Year break.

The club enter junior teams for local competitions and nominate promising juniors for our local England Hockey Board Junior Development Centres for further coaching.

Players aged over 13 years who feel they are ready are encouraged to train with the men or ladies on Tuesday evenings.
