SOHC ladies 0, Bridgwater 3 Sidmouth and Ottery ladies’ continue to seek their first win of the season after going down in Somerset.

On the day the difference between the sides was the greater physical strength of the hosts who scored all three of their goals, two from well-work short corners, in a dominant first half display. SOHC increased the tempo of their game in the second half and they gave a good account of themselves through to the final whistle.

The defending was tighter and the passing crisper and they did get then ball into the home net from a short corner, but the ‘score’ was ruled out as the ball didn’t touch that all important backboard.

Sidmouth will try again to bag that elusive first win when they entertain Clifton III at Ottery St Mary (12.30pm) tomorrow.

The visitors are new to the Central League and the home faithful will be looking to celebrate at full-time.
