Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC) saw no action across both men’s and ladies’ teams on the first Saturday of March, but eight of the club’s nine senior teams are in action this weekend.

The men’s 1st XI, crowned Southern Two champions a fortnight ago, are away at Isca C, with the game being played at Exeter University (noon). When the teams met in East Devon back in early December the game ended 1-1.

The second team, who had their relegation from Southern Two on the same day the 1st XI were crowned champions, entertain Camborne School of Mines at Ottery St Mary (12.30pm). The December meeting between the teams saw the Cornish side win 6-2.

The third XI, sitting in a mid-table berth in South East Division Two, are in action at St James School, Exeter, where they play ECVH B (3.30pm), who they beat 2-0 in the first meeting this season.

The SOHC men’s fourth team are in home action at Ottery where they take on Minehead (2pm). The two teams sit in the bottom two berths in the table and Minehead, who won the meeting in East Devon 5-2, must win to have any chance of avoiding going down with already relegated SOHC fourths.
