Archant

Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC) men’s 4th team went down 5-0 in their South East II home meeting with Isca E.

With the club’s fifth team game having to be cancelled owing to a lack of players, fourth team skipper Dan Weedon had a squad of 14 – including a good mix of youth and experience – for the game.

In an even first half, just the one goal was scored to see the visitors holding a narrow half-time advantage.

After the break, Isca were more clinical in attack, scoring four times without reply.

Again, the home side did put some good moves together, but could not make them count when they got in front of goal.
