With the SOHC ladies’ teams having moved into the festive break period they fielded a mixed team for a friendly meeting with ECVH.

The team was made up of a mix from the 1st and 2nd XI teams and they quickly gelled to put in a display that certainly did not appear to be from a team that had never played before!

There was some great play up the right between Ellie Marok and Jasmine Scott. The ball was passed round well and the full width of the pitch was used.

What was a huge positive was the fact that its very clear the club has a raft of excellent youngsters in the pipeline which augers so well for the long term future of the club.

Some of the youngsters to impress were Alice Please, Frankie Forsyth, Fran Piper and Jasmine Scott.

Samantha Parkyn scored two of the goals and the others were scored by Karen Dutton, Frankie Forsyth and Ellie Marok, the latter netting from a penalty flick.

This match proved an excellent way to bring the curtain down on the first half of a season of real promise for the ladies’ of SOHC.
