Sidmouth RFC U13s 46, Exeter Chiefs 0
Sidmouth U13s christened their 2012/3 kit, courtesy of sponsors Everys Solicitors and The Exeter Hip Foundation, with a dominant performance against a depleted Exeter Chiefs.
Sportingly donating two players in rotation, Sidmouth opened strongly, securing quick tries through Perez and Reed. A sustained period of excellent recycling, handling and supporting play from throw in to wing saw Perez secure further points as Sidmouth kept pressing high up the pitch. A timely release from a persistent Reed to Harris saw further points on the board. Hubble rounded off the half in style with a long run and a flamboyant try; with two conversions Sidmouth went in 29-0 up.
After the break the Sidmouth forwards soaked up Chiefs’ pressure and a determined Lowe got a deserved try to stamp Sidmouth’s authority. A brace from Mead coupled with two conversions saw a resounding 46-0 victory for the boys.
A sterner test awaits the team this weekend as they face Tiverton in the Cup.
