No lie-ins on a Sunday for Kirsteen Welch and Jamie Locke who travelled down to Paignton to take part in the Ocean Healthcare Torbay Half Marathon and the brand new 10k race respectively.

Wearing the Mighty Green, Kirsteen was first lady over the finish line and 8th overall in 1:18:27. Jamie came 41st out of a field of 285 runners, 9th in his age category in 48:27.

Mighty Green Niall Hawkins headed in the other direction to run in the CapTEN fell run organised by his old club, Bridport Runners, and finished 13th in 1:32:41 on the seriously hilly course.

Emma Grainger and fellow Mighty Greens Bert Dykema, Paula Farrand took on the Sidbury Fair Fun Run, while Mark Andow joined a small field of runners last weekend for a 50 mile Ultra, the Conquest of Avalon.

Finally, Jim Hudson swapped his running shoes for walking boots to take on a 21-mile linear fell race.
