Exmouth U10 vs Sidmouth U10s
Sidmouth U10s visited the Exmouth Cockles at their estuary ground.
In the first game an experimental wholesale change of positions failed spectacularly and left the Sidmouth players confused but leading comfortably 2-0 at half time. Back in their familiar positions for the second half, the lads rucked better to secure a 5-1 win at the final whistle. The scorers being Cole, Louis, Finlay, Alex and man of the moment – O Jones.
The second game saw debutant Ben Hushon power into the affray to leave his mark. Jack Turbitt played an unfamiliar role at scrum half and acquitted himself well. His sweet pop pass to the ever strong running Josh Roberts lit up the morning – his perpendicular line proving indefensible – try time! Ben Scrivens grew in stature too with hard tackling and a long range try of his own. Sidmouth eventually ran out 3-2 winners.
